My favorite thing about fashion in Los Angeles: the pairing of unexpected pieces with an overall air of comfortable and casual.
I start with one stunning accessory… in this case: a statement pearl collar necklace that dresses up the entire look.
Next I add a blouse made of a beautiful cream colored silk, loosely fitting and tie-front, by GOGA, a friend of mine. I tie it loosely over a clean, breezy, white silk cami. The silk fabrics take the look upscale without losing the casual feel.
I LOVE PATTERNED PANTS and these are my current favorites… I get tons of compliments on the unique black and white pattern. I pair them with these amazing black pumps with gold hardware and just the right heel height to look like a heel but still be perfectly comfortable.
Then I accessorize with a pretty, cream colored watch and a contrasting color handbag (Watermelon!) and I’m ready to go: the perfect California hip/casual mix for around town or out with the girls.
